About MeHello, my name is Melanie Cahill and I am an undergraduate student who recently started my study career at Griffith University in 2015. I chose to enrol into the Bachelor of Exercise Science following my passion in clinical science and sport. I love to study science and more importantly how it relates/ what effect it has on the human body. Throughout my undergraduate degree I hope to achieve at a high level throughout my studies and strive to gain a deep enough understanding to aspire me to gain entry into Master of Physiotherapy.
I enjoy working in a large team environment thus communicating with fellow students benefits my study experience and makes learning more manageable. Attending laboratory sessions certainly has widened my teamwork experience as everyone is striving to achieve the same goal together as a group. I also have a casual job at a supermarket (Coles) on the weekends. Balancing work and university can be quite difficult, but it has certainly improved my time management skills. |
Previous education |
In recent years, I studied from grade 8-12 to achieve my High School Certificate at Merrimac State High School. Throughout my high school years, I learnt many skills such as a new language (Japanese) and many sporting accretions. I was also apart of the school council, debate team and school band which taught me many teamwork skills. Achieving whilst attaining a positive mindset in year 12 of high school definitely prepared me for the study load of my first year at Griffith University.
